We recommend calculating a new carbon footprint 12 months on
from your baseline calculation to track your progress, and determine your
success against the targets you set for your practice.
Calculating footprints at 12 month intervals provides a neat time-period for
reporting and also links in well with financial accounting systems, which
supply crucial data for completing the supply chain and business travel tabs.
This doesn't mean that you can't use GP Footprint Reporter in the intervening period,
feel free to create scenario footprints to analyse the potential effects of
different procurement and consumption decisions. It is important to clearly name
your footprints for each year according to the naming convention, as described in the GP Footprint Reporter Quick-Start Guide, so they can
be clearly differentiated from scenarios.
